ABOUT US

Our mission is anchored in Matthew 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” This verse shapes our identity and reminds us of our calling to be the hands and feet of Christ.

We are committed to ending hunger and food insecurity in our community.

Through the generosity of food and financial donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the support of a caring community, Florida Food Bank will provide over one million meals each year to families in need.

We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food and no one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. With the help of our partners and supporters, we are working towards a hunger-free Florida.

Florida Food Bank was created with a clear purpose: to fight food insecurity in Marion County. As we begin this work, our primary focus is to strengthen and support the many local agencies already serving families in need. These organizations are on the frontlines—loving, caring, and providing for their communities—and our role is to help them do even more.

If you consider adding one local cause this year to support, please consider Florida Food Bank.
